Mumbai Property Developers offering discounts on New Launches

If you're looking to buy a home, this holiday season could give you that chance and more. That's because some developers are bending backwards to please you. For starters Ma Builders in Mumbai offers a free modular kitchen in NG Sun City, a residential project in Kandivli. Lodha developers will give you a discount of Rs 100 per square foot at their Thane property. And Evershine builders and Mantri group are waiving stamp duty and registration fees on the property bought in some of their projects in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore.
Sunil Mantri, CMD, Mantri Group says, “Now with the festival season coming in a lot of developers have new ideas, and new launches. My group is also offering a discount in terms of stamp duty concession. We pay the stamp duty charge and bear the cost of the stamp duty. It amounts to 4% discount on the property value.”
But industry experts have a word of caution for the buyer. "In certain cases what builders offer, as discounts might not actually be so. What seems like a special offer may just be nothing but the current market price of the property,” says Sandeep Sadh, CEO, Mumbai Property Exchange.com
The builder is just apprising you that he is increasing prices but there is no discount in this as such. It is probably just an intimation that prices are going to go up from a date in the future so if you want to buy it at the current lower rate, buy it now.
Market watchers say, after a lull in property transactions over the past three months, builders are looking at this festive month to maximize sales and cash in on an auspicious bent of mind to make new transactions.
